MAUHAUS PRODUCTIONS

Michael Mau

MauHaus Productions was created by Atlanta native Michael Mau.

Diagnosed with acute creativity as a child, Michael has spent most of his life writing, painting, carving, recording, performing, playing, and exploring.

Michael’s very first short story was titled, “The Sheriff Who Was Black.” A synthesis of a documentary on Nostradamus with the film Blazing Saddles, this provocative story still lives in a drawer with his baby teeth and some glass he ate when he was a toddler.

Michael scored his first acting role in Germantown, TN at the age of 14 playing the lead in “I Sincerely Doubt This Old House is Very Haunted.” His singing was hilarious.

In 2015, Michael had a brief career as a graffiti artist. He likes to boast that he has street art on three continents and five countries–which is true (North America, South America, and Europe), but they’re not exactly expansive. His signature Mau Cat was repurrposed as the mascot for MauHaus Productions.

Today, as a member of SAG-AFTRA and the WGA, Michael is making SHOW his BUSINESS. If he’s not on someone else’s set, Michael can be found toiling over A Blind Play, the MauHaus fiction podcast he created, produces, directs, edits, and begs people to listen to.
